Kot Momin Floods 2025: Relief Camps Submerged, Thousands Displaced in Sargodha

Kot Momin, Sargodha. The Kot Momin floods 2025 have created a devastating situation as floodwater from the River Chenab submerged relief camps and displaced thousands of residents. According to officials, over 8,000 people have been rescued so far, but the majority of families remain stranded in their submerged homes with their cattle.

Relief Efforts Under Strain

The Sargodha flood news reports that many victims are still at risk of snake and insect bites while trying to gather fodder from flooded fields. Despite Punjab flood rescue efforts, countless families are still waiting for proper assistance.

Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Waseem visited the affected areas, assuring that food, clean drinking water, and medicines are being provided. The Pakistan Army, Rescue 1122, police, and local authorities are actively working in the region. “These are the real heroes of the Pakistan flood disaster,” he stated.

Medical and Veterinary Assistance

Health Chief Executive Officer Dr. Sara Safdar said 1,000 doctors and paramedics are working in shifts at field hospitals, 28 mobile clinics, and nine health camps across Kot Momin. The Livestock Department has deployed veterinary teams, treating and vaccinating more than 12,000 animals.

Public Criticism of Administration

While officials claim significant progress, many residents complain that help is still limited. Local leaders from the Pakistan People’s Party accused the administration of focusing on photo sessions instead of providing real relief. “Our crops and homes are gone, yet people are waiting for genuine government support,” said PPP’s Nadeem Afzal Chan.

Ongoing Crisis

The Kot Momin relief camps that were meant to shelter victims are now submerged, making the situation even worse. Residents say they need more doctors, ambulances, and emergency food supplies. This Punjab floods update highlights how the Sargodha flood victims are still struggling for survival.
